Locations
- Most of the sittings for the Session will be in the main Chamber of the Alberta Legislature Building
- Additional programming will happen at The King's University campus
- Accommodations will also be provided at the The King's University campus
- Transportation will be provided between the two locations
Accommodations
- Attendees will be staying in the residence apartments at The King's University
- Each apartment has 6 individual bedrooms, 2 couches, full kitchen and 2 bathrooms
- All apartments will be on the same floor
- An adult leader or chaperone will be in each apartment
- Depending on registration numbers it may be necessary to have people sleeping on the couches
The King's University Facilities
- At The King's University we will have access to a secure classroom for programming
- We can also make use of the Atrium and cafeteria seating area
- The campus is closed during session (no classes) but will not be locked off completely from the public
Alberta Legislature Facilities
- Guests (family, friends, sponsors etc.) are allowed to watch the Sittings from the gallery
- We need to notify security about guests. Specific procedures and contact information will be available in your handbook
Transportation
- Chartered transportation will be provided between venues (King's and the Legislature)
- Regarding transportation to and from Session: Carpooling shall be arranged where possible (with driver fuel reimbursement). Travel reimbursement may be available where carpooling is not feasible.
Meals
- Continental breakfasts
- Boxed lunches
- On site catering for dinner
- We collect dietary restrictions on the registration form
Schedule
- December 26th 3:00pm is check-in time at The King's University residence
- Session specific scheduling will be provided in your handbook
- December 31st 11:00am is check-out time for the residence apartments
